The Littleton Creamery was constructed in 1884 to process the milk of local dairy farmers before the cream and butter were shipped to Denver. This building was part of a larger creamery facility erected by J.D. Hill and I.S. Morse. By 1888, the creamery had processed the milk of 1,000 cows! The creamery business had moved to Denver by 1900.
Original architectural elements on this structure include the gabled roof and wood clapboards; the hipped roof porch with tapered columns and bay windows were added later. The Littleton Creamery building has served as a schoolhouse, a home for the Christian Science Church, a home for the Southern Baptist Church, and an antique store.
The Littleton Creamery was incorporated into the Littleton Downtown Historic District as a contributing building on October 26, 2021.
