Historic Littleton, Inc. provides many activities throughout the year for members and non-members alike, as well as notices of important historic preservation, and history events occurring in the Littleton area. Historic Littleton, Inc. will also note regional history and preservation events that would be of interest to members and citizens offered by other Historical Societies. All event, activities, and meetings will be posted on the Events Calendar below.
Speakers/Programs
Historic Littleton, Inc. will occasionally sponsor speakers and lectures by local and regional experts on history and preservation topics. We also coordinate lectures with the Littleton History Museum.
Historic Happy Hour
Historic Littleton, Inc. will hold informal happy hour events where preservationist and history buffs can meet and have casual discussion about a variety of topics. The location could be in an interesting family-oriented venue.

and modernism tours of historic sites in Littleton and through out the Denver area.
Member Only Events
Member-only events consist of the annual Christmas Party, special member only
activities and the annual board meeting.

Travel back in time with a tour of buildings, lives, and events on about a one-hour plus walking tour of the Littleton Downtown Historic District. During the tour you will learn about the history of the building, including the architecture, and the people who owned them. The tours are free, but donations are appreciated. You do not need reservations to attend. The historic tours are guided by Historic Littleton, Inc. www.hlinc.org Meet at the Depot Art Gallery, 2069 West Powers Avenue, 500 feet north of the Littleton Courthouse. May 9, 2026(1 event) 10:00 am: Mid Mod Mile Scavenger Hunt –
Step into Littleton’s “Mid Mod Mile” Littleton Boulevard is a treasure of architecture ranging from late 1800s to present day. There are over 80 Mid-Century Modern (Mid Mod) buildings located on or near Littleton Blvd in between Santa Fe and Broadway, many of which were designed by some of Colorado’s most notable 20th century modern architects. This area has become known as the “Mid Mod Mile.” At the Scavenger Hunt learn more about what makes these buildings significant, fun and part of Littleton's history! Join the Mid Mod Mile Scavenger Hunt for FREE on May 9, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Check in at Arapahoe County Plaza (1690 W Littleton Blvd) between 10 AM and 12 PM. Explore, learn what makes these buildings so special, and celebrate Littleton’s history. Plus, prizes for top finishers, refreshments, and DJ DeShawn spinning live! 🎶 Presented by Historic Littleton, Inc. and Western Welcome Week, with funding from the City of Littleton Arts and Culture Grant. WHO IS INVITED TO ATTEND: Anyone who is curious about the history and architecture of Littleton’s Mid Mod Mile, and wants to participate in a vibrant and fun community activity! WHAT WILL WE DO: Participants will discover various buildings and learn about their unique stories via a guided hunt on their phone. Plan on using your a smartphone and walking to all the locations when you register. The hunt is only available via use of the internet. WHEN IS THE HUNT: The Scavenger Hunt will take place May 9th from 10pm-2pm. Check in is from 10am-12pm. All participants will need to finsih the hunt by 2pm to be entered to win prizes. WHERE IS IT HAPPENING: Along Littleton Boulevard, between Rio Grand and South Broadway, with locations a few blocks in on Littleton Boulevard. Wear good walking shoes, bring water, and bring some friends! HOW WILL WE FIND BUILDINGS? The online guide will have questions and clues for you to find each building, and you will be instructed on various tasks to gain points to win prizes. You might need to scan a QR code, answer a multiple-choice question, or provide an answer to a trivia question about the building. Make sure to have your phone charged and ready to go when you arrive! WHY PARTICIPATE? This is a great way to get your steps in while also learning more about the community you live in, and the buildings you drive by everyday! Littleton has a rich and diverse Architectural history, so what better way to experience it than with friends! Celebrate 150th Birthday of Littleton’s Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Depot
Historic Littleton, Inc. and the City of Littleton will celebrate the 150th birthday of the Denver and Rio Grande (D & RG ) Railroad depot located at 5790 S. Prince St. on Saturday May 16 at 2:00 p.m. The D & RG Railroad was the first railroad to provide rail service to Littleton arriving in 1871. Fours years later, in 1875, the depot was built using rhyolite stone quarried from Castle Rock. The depot was designated as a Littleton landmark over 50 years ago. Historic Littleton will give a presentation on Littleton’s early days and how the railroad helped Littleton grow. Historic Littleton Inc. will also serve birthday cake and give out free coloring books featuring many of Littleton’s historic buildings.
