The Knight/Wood House is a good example of the Craftsman architectural style in Littleton as reflected in its overhanging eaves, exposed rafters, triangular braces, and windows. The house also is important for its association with Dr. Wilbur D. Wood and his wife, Helen, who lived here more than 20 years. Drs. Wood and Ralph MacKenzie co-founded the Littleton Clinic and helped form Swedish Hospital. In addition, Dr. Wood served as president of the Arapahoe County Medical Society.

This house was honored with a listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The City of Littleton designated the Knight/Wood House a Historic Landmark in 2002.
